Integrity Stainless is now offering a solution to address the growing concern of continuing rising stainless steel costs. After receiving many customer requests to address this issue, Integrity Stainless has found that switching alloys from Type 304 or 301 to Type 201 will solve the rising cost issue for a majority of their customers.
Type 201 Stainless has existed for over 50 years and is considered by industry experts to be a “hidden diamond in the rough”. Type 201 is a non-magnetic, austenitic stainless steel, which has similar mechanical characteristics of Type 304 and is identical in appearance.

To help customers make the transition from Type 304 to 201 with ease, Integrity Stainless has employed the services of John Shields, a PHD in Materials Science, to assist with any questions, including those regarding the corrosive behaviors of Type 201 as well as welding and fabricating concerns. They have also revamped their website to include information on this newly offered product. Type 201 will be available to customers at the end of March and Integrity Stainless will regularly be stocking .250” through .018”.
